SET-UPS

I love a perfectly executed outfit! And with mother-nature having a mind of her own and a few mood swings here and there you just never know what to wear when you wake up in the morning. Tran-seasonal clothes I like to call it - A lot of fun as well. It gives you the opportunity to mix-and-match winter and summer clothes. Here are a few of my fav set-ups I have come across recently that do just that:

Such a cute pair of booties and sun-glasses. I love the colour-scheme of this outfit, with the baby-pinks and brown booties, it gives off a real nude theme (very Rag & Bone), although the cable-knit is quite a wintery look, the light colour gives a real sense of freshness and a spring feel. A perfect outfit for a gloomy morning, all of a sudden turned nice afternoon.

This is a fun tran-seasonal outfit because you can wear a knit, with shorts! The best part of all you can still wear boots, because let's admit spring is still a season where closed-shoes are more appropriate then open-toed flats (unless the day has reached a max of 30 degrees by mid-day then that's totally acceptable). But you honestly can't go wrong with a nice pair of black ankle boots, and loving the splash of colour in the bright yellow clutch!

Bearing in mind the nude-theme I mentioned earlier this outfit pretty much oozes that. Leather shorts and skirts are really a huge trend right now and pairing it with a nude top it becomes even more of a statement. The YMC sandals are perfect for spring and the awkward transition between cold and hot seasons because they're closed toed sandals - Perfect! Finish the outfit off with a nice pendant and sunglasses and you are good to go!

I am absolutely loving the fore-finger rings at the moment. They're so cute and different!

MOJO

So my week in Melbourne has been uber fun, and I think its fair to say that I found my "Mojo in Melbourne". But I'm also not going to put it past the fun Spring weather and seeing my best friend again, that's gotta lift the mood, from the post winter boredom that was.

After a successful shopping trip down Chapel St on Thursday, on Friday night, Steph and I went to China town for some pre-fashion show dinner, and then attended the runway 3 show which was a lot of fun (complete with a goodie-bag). I was super excited to see White Suede's collection, with all of its neon fun, but was surprised by how much I enjoyed watching Nobody's collection, probably all the kahki and army boots.

The weekend was good, and we got to hang out with our other Adelaide friend's who moved to Melbourne recently. We we're all so excited and inspired each other so much that we were a plane ticket away from moving to Spain! And why the hell not!?

Sunday was a cracker of a day, with spring in all of its glory, so we headed down to St Kilda and got to have a glimse of summer by drinking ciders on the boardwalk and having a picnic in the park. Tonight we decided to walk down to the channel 10 studios and sit in the studio audience for The Project, kinda fun to see how it all works. I think tomorrow's agenda is the Melbourne Food and Wine festival, then I'll be jetting back home...... A week sure does fly by when your having fun!

BLUSH

The two pics in the middle are from a Rag & Bone look book. How awesome is the denim and leather jacket? I loved the combination of the pale pink jeans, and cream suede booties. The lighter shades make the transition between winter and spring. Wearing long-sleeved pants and jackets, yet with the lighter tones and shades make it spring friendly and adds a happier vibe from the lingering gloomy weather.
