Gwen Stefani is back and Pretty in Pink as the September edition
of the Harper’s Bazaar U.S cover! No Doubt released their new song Settle Down, in July, making it their
latest material, since their last album release back in 2001. Harper's Bazaar
U.S writer, Derek Blasberg, got his mits on the Harajuku girl, and interviewed her over
lunch, just after she dropped off her six-year old son, Kensington, at school.
She was known as a huge fashion icon in the 90’s, we can probably blame her for
bringing in the over-sized crop-top tees. Her signature style is platinum hair
and scarlett lips, as still seen in this shoot.
She recalls “I’ve always been a girl who loves to dress up”, she
said the moment she died her hair white-blonde “It
was like I'd unlocked the key. I remember feeling like, 'I have arrived. This
is me. Finally.'" She got her scarlett lips look, when her grandmother gave
her a red lipstick in high school, she said the moment she put it on, she was like 'Uh-huh, I
like that. That's the shit right there.' I never stopped after that."
Harper's dressed the style queen in-style, the main pink dress being Oscar de la Renta, worth a mere $8,490. Check out the awesome editorial shots below – At age 42, she hasn’t lost it, even her signature look.
